STARSS
(Start Thinking About Reducing Secondhand Smoke)
  Media campaign and tobacco reduction support and information for pregnant women and mothers who smoke, particularly women who don’t want, or aren’t ready to quit smoking. Available resources include:
  • A guide to STARSS strategies for providers,
  • A journal for women to record and support their smoking reduction or cessation goals,
  • Reports and posters describing the STARSS program.

Why Women Smoke: Women and Smoking   This resource from AWARE (Action on Women’s Addictions, Research & Education) provides information on why women smoke and supports women in considering their own reasons for smoking, and strategies for reducing or quitting smoking.
